Hey Ma what’s for dinner?       Whatever I decide to cook!!!!

Growing up I never gave a second thought to all my mom did when it came to feeding the family, I don’t know if it was the time we were living in then or the time we’re living in now, but there was never a discussion about dinner, she cooked you ate, and if you didn’t like what she made that night well then you just didn’t eat.   I find myself at times debating with my kids about dinner.  Something is wrong here I step back and I think my mom would never entertain my dismay with a particular food she prepared (which was few and far between).  I now realize that my children are part of an entitled generation, and on some level I have foolishly assisted in this behavior with dinner options.  

Hey Ma what's for dinner, and I want to ask a quick question how often do you cook for the family in  a week?

I find myself cooking at least five times a week and ordering take out twice a week.
